Rosenheim, 11 November 2024. The mobility tech start-up maut1.de is opening the barriers with its toll box in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal - and is now also offering a new service in Germany: All customers who register in the customer portal at www.maut1.de (for the existing toll box, which allows you to simply drive through all toll stations in various countries in reserved lanes without waiting and without stopping or booking a service) will in future be able to enter all APCOA FLOW car parks operated by APCOA Germany without the hassle of pulling tickets. Entry is completely ticketless via licence plate recognition and the charges - as with the toll box - are settled cashless via the stored account.
More than 300 locations in 80 German cities
„We are delighted to be able to work with one of the leading car park operators," emphasises maut1.de Managing Director Julian Schmelzer. In Germany alone, APCOA operates more than 300 locations in over 80 cities - and therefore more than 230,000 car parks. "In the pilot phase, our offer applies to the whole of Germany," explains Schmelzer.
However, following a successful launch, it is conceivable and planned that the service for maut1.de customers will also be extended beyond national borders.
Stefanie Kochs, Head of Urban Hubs at APCOA Deutschland GmbH, adds: "I am delighted that another partner, maut1, is placing its trust in our innovative technologies. Maut1.de users can expect an uncomplicated, digitalised and, above all, fast parking process at our locations on their way to their holidays“.
The APCOA Group manages around 1.6 million individual car parks at more than 12,000 locations in 12 countries across Europe. "This would be a perfect addition, especially for travellers to the south who are using our toll box," says Schmelzer.
In addition to municipal car parks, the properties managed by APCOA include large shopping centres, several hundred hotels, hospitals and airports. In addition to the traditional car park business, selected APCOA properties offer supplementary services as so-called urban hubs. These include e-charging stations, packing stations and other logistics services, as well as rentable electric two-wheeler fleets.
The German partner car parks are listed on an interactive map at www.maut1.de/en/services/parking. The exact addresses, opening times and tariffs can be found there. The entrances activated for the maut1 car park service are marked on site with the APCOA FLOW logo - three white bars on a green background.
Service is available immediately
„The service is available immediately and can be booked free of charge for our existing customers," explains Schmelzer. Anyone who does not (yet) have a toll box - which is also available for large motorhomes over 3.5 tonnes - can have the practical service activated for a one-off fee of 3 euros.
About the maut1 GmbH
maut1.de is a mobility tech start-up that offers electronic toll collection devices for contactless toll payment in various countries such as Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and, for large vehicles, Austria. There are reserved lanes for toll box users that cannot be used by manual payers (cash/credit card), saving up to 45 minutes of waiting time per toll station. This makes every journey through the toll station much more convenient. The toll box also reduces emissions by improving the flow of traffic at the toll stations and reducing stop-and-go traffic and congestion at the toll stations.
With over 150,000 active customers, maut1.de has firmly established itself on the market in the DACH and BeNeLux regions. The partners of maut1.de include industry giants such as ADAC, ÖAMTC, ANWB and APCOA.
With new digital services such as the licence plate recognition parking service, maut1.de continues to develop into a holistic mobility platform for digital services in private transport.
