Rosenheim, February 2nd 2023. The Rosenheim-based start-up maut1.de, founded in 2020, opens the motorway barriers on the way south - and also the purse for young athletes. During an indoor tournament, the two managing directors and founders Julian Schmelzer and Simon Baumgartner presented a cheque for 2000 euros to the junior football team of FC Nicklheim. 1st chairman Thomas Fischbacher is delighted about this financial bull's eye. "The foundation for tomorrow's success is laid in the youth sector. That is why it is important not only to invest in top-level and professional sport, but also at grassroots level and in the youth sector," he emphasises. "Here, the sports clubs offer an important contact point for children and young people and create meaningful leisure activities, which are made possible by coaches and officials in many voluntary hours. That is why we are grateful for any support. We are very pleased that such a young company from the region supports us with such a large donation. The money will be used 1:1 for the benefit of our young footballers," assures Fischbacher.
Sports clubs are a good school for life
For maut1.de, this is a matter of the heart. "As a young company, it is important for us to support young people and sport. After all, a good range of activities is an essential component for our society to function. Nowhere else do children learn to work in a team better than in sports clubs - and do something for their health," say Schmelzer and Baumgartner, who are keeping their fingers firmly crossed for many sporting successes for the young kickers from Nicklheim.
maut1.de in the fast lane since 2020
Cash-free and conveniently past traffic jams: maut1 GmbH is the first German company to offer private car users a digital toll box that can be used in four countries at once (Italy, France, Spain and Portugal). The digital lanes at the toll stations are marked with "T" on the foreign motorways. A signal from the small box on the windscreen opens the barrier and allows free travel. The box communicates with the toll station, so the charge is recorded and settled conveniently and transparently afterwards. Julian Schmelzer and Simon Baumgartner founded the start-up maut1 GmbH in December 2020, in the middle of the Corona crisis, at the digital start-up centre Stellwerk18 in Rosenheim. Their idea: "The boxes are intended to simplify toll processing in other European countries. In this way, we want to make the journey to the most beautiful time of the year simply more comfortable for our customers."
